New chicks!
Newly arrived mail order chicks! Let's see, there's the three polishes, white-crested black, white, and the silver. Then there's black minorca, araucana, and the rose-combed brown leghorn. Whew! Good luck guys....er...gals!
Fresh eggs!
"Egg check!" and the kids rush to be the first one to grab the eggs. This time, Dahn is the victor!

The entire winter the schoolground is coverered in snow and sledding is 'mandatory' first period exercise.

Squirrels!
It was a long cold winter even for squirrels. But we couldn't sit idly by and see our store of ever dwindling chicken feed marauded in full daylight by a pack of desperate squirrels.
